     RULES AND REGULATIONS

From the beginning Grupo de Apoyo a la Disidencia’s Board of Directors adopted a series of Rules and regulations to govern GAD’s operational activities

·        No discrimination based on religious, philosophical, race, gender, or any other civil right protected under The United Nations Declaration of Human Rights

·        Do not tell the people in Cuba what to do. Respect their decisions.

·        Cuba is more than Havana, since 9 million Cubans live in other provinces.

·        Medications are for the sick, and although we do prioritize the democratic activists, political prisoners, and their families, no Cuban should be denied assistance if such assistance is requested.

·        Support any organization promoting respect for human rights, political pluralism, and a republic based on the rule of the law.

·        Utilize the available resources in a wise manner, avoiding waste or unnecessary expenses, and trying to maintain administrative costs at less than 20 percent of the total available funds.

·        Work silently, in a professional and effective manner, avoiding propaganda for propaganda’s sake.

Work to be effective, not for effect!
